*My aim is to subvert the viewer's attention to the background structures that underlie the exhibition, the exhibition space, the artist, and a work of art. I am drawn to the work put in, the supports needed, the devises designed, the adaptions required, and the know-how or lack there of needed to solve problems.
After being contacted by an artist or an art institution with a particular problem - I evaluate the problem and determine, what I believe to be, the best solution. Every action is documented and then published in a hard cover book once the problem has been solved. The book is not to be considered the sole artwork but rather an aspect of the project. The pictorial construct of the book expresses a linear narrative of the decisions, supports, work, and time put-in that was required to resolve the problem. All artwork whether physical or intellectual is recognized as being a unique work of art by all parties involved.
I charge an hourly fee for my time put in - plus the material(s) cost. This then determines the value of the artwork.
