Problem Solving Process Map

Teachers always seem to have more to do than there are hours in the day, particularly when you are a special education teacher. Figuring out how to get it all done is a challenge for all of us, not just new the ones. Sometimes it simply feels like there just is not enough hours in the day and that the daily pill-up of deadline may just over-flow our stress bucket.

Special Ed teachers play various roles in and outside of the classroom. Because of this management of time, resources, and tasks must be effective. Teaching and learning cannot take place in a poorly managed classroom. Without effective management classroom aides will lack focus and your desire for constancy will rapidly slip further away from your grasp. Not to mention all the testing, assessments, benchmarks, IEPs, modifications, behavior plan.... I could go on.

My hope is that this website provides support for some and instigates feedback by others so I that I too can gain content while traveling further down the road toward becoming an effective member of an academic team.
